The Donnell-Kay Foundation, a Denver-based foundation, strives to improve public education and drive systemic school reform in Colorado through solid research, creative dialogue and critical thinking. In an attempt to better understand the conditions of K-12 schools across Colorado, the Foundation launched a wide-reaching assessment project in 2004. What we found was disturbing.
